Hi, I’m Rhio, I’m 32, from Wales, UK, and I’m a mum, gamer, comic artist and nerd.
I’m also a mental health patient, and have recovered from Eating Disorders which I had suffered with my entire life. I’ve been in recovery for 4 years, and have been a healthy weight for just over 3 years now. I also have PTSD, Bipolar disorder and Chronic Anxiety Disorder.

During my recovery from Bulimia, and Anorexia, I started to make comics to explain to others what ED’s are, and what recovery is. I showed my treatment team a comic I had made of a dietitian appointment I had, and they loved it so much they asked me to help them voluntarily. I help doctors and patients understand what ED’s are, and spread hope of recovery using my comics, and writings. My comics and I have also been in a video given out to all patients of ED’s and carers.

As the video was so successful, I was then invited to “The People Factor” nursing conference where I spoke honestly and openly about my experience in front of 200+ medical professionals. It was a resounding success.

The aim of this blog is to spread hope of recovery, and hopefully help people understand mental health illnesses better with the use of comics.

I’ll also post random comics and blog posts about the things I love, I love being a mum, gaming, science, Netflix, Lego and general nerdy things.
I aim to post at least once a week, but due to my comics taking a large amount of my time, due to the fact I love to use a lot of details, and due to the fact I’m also a mum, I may be less active than that.

I am pretty active on Facebook and Instagram too.

I hope you enjoy my comics, and my blog posts and if you do, it would be awesome if you could follow, like, comment and share with your friends. I nearly always follow back all of my followers, and I absolutely love the WordPress community. I’m aiming to share comics about recovery to spread hope to people in need, so by sharing, you will also be helping others! 🙂

I really enjoy doing the Weekend Coffee Share hosted by Diana at Part Time Monster. Such a great group of people take part. Head over to her blog to find out more about it.

Last thing, ugh, here comes the boring bit, all the comics and art on this website are made by myself, Rhiannon Jones and they are protected under paid-for copyright. If you want to use any of my work, please use the contact form and let me know, and we’ll come to some arrangement. i.e You could name your first born child after me. Nah, just kidding! Just be courteous and ask 🙂
Reblogs are absolutely fine though, go for it!
